Some rain tonight into early tomorrow and then a significant mixture of snow and ice is possible that could affect the Friday morning commute…
Today will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or sprinkle during the day, especially along the coast and on Long Island, and then rain will develop in the late afternoon and early evening from west to east as a warm front passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 50’s to mid 60’s.
Tomorrow will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower in the morning as a cold front passes through our area. It will be warm with highs in the mid 50’s to mid 60’s.
Thursday will then be variably cloudy with a chance of some light snow in Northeastern PA in the afternoon. Highs will be in the low to mid 30’s.
Friday there will be snow, sleet, freezing rain, and rain, changing to rain in the morning, then ending in the late morning and early afternoon from west to east as a disturbance passes through our area. There could be significant accumulations of ice in Eastern PA, Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and in Fairfield County, CT, and a significant accumulation of snow is possible in Northeastern PA, far Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and in Fairfield County, CT. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.
It now appears that the two disturbances won’t interact Sunday into Monday, so this will leave us with an extended period of nice weather the way it looks right now, possibly through the remainder of next week.
