TODAY – rain developing late this morning and afternoon from southwest to northeast, possibly becoming heavy at times at night, becoming windy at night with gusts up to 45 mph possible, highs at night in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s

 

TOMORROW – rain gradually mixing with and changing to snow in Northeastern and East Central PA in the morning, and elsewhere in the afternoon and early evening, before ending tomorrow afternoon and early evening from southwest to northeast, the rain coudl be heavy at times in the morning, lows in the mid 40’s to low 50’s, highs in the morning in the mid 40’s to low 50’s, then dropping, windy, with gusts up to 45 mph inland and up to 60 mph possible along the coast and on Long Island

A trace to a coating possible:  inland Central and Northern NJ, Rockland and Putnam Counties in NY State, Northern Fairfield County, CT, Eastern Long Island

 

A coating to an inch possible:  East Central PA, Northwestern NJ, Orange County, NY

 

1-4 inches possible:  Carbon, Monroe, and Pike Counties in Northeastern PA

 

3-8 inches possible:  the rest of Northeastern PA

 

CHRISTMAS EVE – variably cloudy, from the low to mid single digits in Northeastern PA to low teens along the coast and on Long Island, highs from the low teens in Northeastern PA to the mid 20’s on Long Island

 

CHRISTMAS DAY – variably cloudy, lows in the mid single digits to mid teens, highs in the 20’s

 

MONDAY – variably cloudy, lows from the upper single digits in Northeastern PA to the low 20’s on Long Island, highs in the mid 20’s to low 30’s
