Significant snow likely Monday night into Tuesday morning in a large part of our area…
The rest of today will be mostly cloudy with highs in the low to mid 40’s.
Tomorrow a strong disturbance will approach form the Southeastern United States. This disturbance will pass just south of our area, exiting the East Coast near Cape May County, NJ, strengthening rapidly as it does so. This will cause rain and snow to develop at night, changing to snow from northwest to southeast across our area. It will also become windy late at night with gusts up to 40 mph possible, especially near the coast and on Long Island.
Tuesday, the snow will end in the morning, followed by gradual clearing. It will be windy in the morning with gusts up to 40 mph possible, especially near the coast and on Long Island. Highs will be in the 30’s to low 40’s.
Total possible snowfall accumulation:
Trace to an inch: far Southern NJ
1-4 inches: Southeastern PA, the rest of Southern and Central NJ (to just north of Trenton eastward to south of Edison)
3-6 inches: Southern portions of East Central NJ, Central NJ (north of Trenton to just south of Rt. 78)
5-8 inches: New York City and Long Island
6-12 inches: the rest of East Central PA, Northern NJ between about Routes 78 and 80
8-12 inches: Northeastern NJ
12-15 inches: Northwestern NJ, Southeastern Rockland/Westchester County, NY, Fairfield County, CT
12-18 inches: Northeastern PA, Orange, Northwestern Rockland and Putnam Counties in NY State

Wednesday will then be nice with highs in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s.
Thursday, clouds will increase with a chance of snow or snow showers in the late afternoon and evening as a weak disturbance passes north of our area. Highs will be in the 30’s.
Friday will be variably cloudy with highs in the 30’s to low 40’s.
Saturday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower. Highs will be in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s.
Next Sunday, February 18th, through next Thursday, February 22nd are currently looking nice with highs mainly in the 30’s.
Next Friday, February 23rd, is looking variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower. Highs will be in the 30’s to low 40’s.
Next Saturday, February 24th, there will be a chance of rain or snow with highs in the 30’s to low 40’s.
