The latest run of the physics-based European model shows the heavier snow moving further south than prior runs late Friday into early Saturday, which is more in line with it's ensemble mean. This means more snow for our entire area with the likelihood of significant amounts for much of our area, and very significant amounts possible in northern parts of our area.
Below is the latest snow map from the physics-based European model, courtesy WeatherBell Analytics.
But of even more interest to me is that the European ensemble mean is even further south with the snow band, which means the heavy snow will likely move further south into our area as the European model physics-based ensemble mean snow map below shows, courtesy WeatherBell Analytics.
