Significant snow on the way late Friday into early Saturday...

There will be significant snow in our area late Friday into Saturday as a fairly strong disturbance rides along the frontal boundary that has remained over our area the past several weeks, as a blocking pattern has set up across New England. This blocking pattern is casing a frontal boundary to remain over our area, with the front pushing north and south of our area every few days, allowing some of the disturbances to bring our area rain, and some snow. The one late Friday into early Saturday will be snow, as the front pushes south of our area, allowing cold air to move in, followed by rain late Sunday into early Monday as the front pushes north of our area, allowing warm air to move into our area.

After that it is not possible to determine the timing of the next disturbance as of right now.
