Nor'easter Appears Likely for Next Wednesday

A potent Nor'easter is now appearing likely for next Wednesday.  Both the American and European model are now displaying a potent Nor'easter developing for next Wednesday along the Eastern Seaboard that should affect our area significantly.  The question is how much of it will be rain, and how much of it will be snow?  Right now it appears that the majority of the storm would be rain, with the possibility of at least some snow, especially at the end of the storm.  This situation will have to be watched closely as we get closer, as it will likely produce heavy precipitation and possibly strong winds as well, although nothing at all like the previous storm.  The major concern here would be the heavy rain, possibly as much as 2 inches, and heavy snows, exceeding one foot in the areas that receive snow.  Right now the areas of heavy snow in excess of one foot would be from Northeast Pennsylvania up into New York State, with us changing to snow before it ends, possibly accumulating a couple of inches.  This is subject to change however and we could end up as all rain, or all snow depending on how the storm forms and where it tracks.  Stay tuned.
