Late Morning Quick Update

The worst of this storm is over.

The rest of the day we will have light and scattered freezing rain, sleet and snow.

The scattered light precipitation will continue into the night, ending late at night.

Snow accumulations should be very light as the precipitation remains mixed in most locations.

The main concern will be for icy roads today and tonight, and likely into tomorrow morning.

Please be careful if driving.

Looking forward, we may very well get 1-3 inches of snow on Thursday with an Alberta clipper passing by that will literally explode once it reaches south of Long Island, possibly bringing near blizzard conditions with 6-12 inches of snow for Eastern Long Island and Southeastern New England.

This would put Northwest NJ closer to the 1-2 inch range with Northeastern NJ closer to the 2-3 inch range.

We shall see.

Then another Alberta Clipper will approach on Saturday night.

Both of these clippers need to be watched closely as the weather pattern is favorable for development as they reach the NJ Coast.
