After this snow threat ends, two more to go this week…
First though…
This blog broke TWO MILLION all time page views today.
I would have never imagined in my wildest dreams that this would have ever been possible.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO ALL OF YOU WHO READ THIS BLOG EVERY DAY!!!
Special thanks go out to Mike and Heather Michels, Jim Dunbar, Dave Conca, Joe Diblasi, and Dan Bertelli of Indian Hills High School in Oakland, NJ, who were instrumental in producing this blog. Without these people this blog would have never happened.

The snow has mixed with sleet in Central NJ which will hold Central
NJ down into the 3-4 inch snowfall range with the rest of us, even though the
precipitation is much heavier there. Long Island may end up the big winner in
the 5-7 inch range IF they don’t mix with or change to sleet as well. The snow
will then end between 4 am and 7 am from west to east.
Tuesday the next storm will approach, with snow developing
around 3-4 pm. The snow will accumulate 1-3 inches before mixing with and then
changing to sleet and then freezing rain between 8 pm and 10 pm from south to
north. The freezing rain will then change to rain and come to an end between 10
pm and 2 am from south to north with only some light and scattered drizzle
Wednesday morning. Ice could accumulate to around a tenth to a quarter of an
inch before the changeover to rain early on Wednesday morning.
We will then have some drizzle during the day on Wednesday
before the cold front passes through on Wednesday evening. Another storm system
will then approach from the southwest, causing rain or snow to develop on
Wednesday evening, and then change to snow, ending in the late morning on
Thursday. Accumulations of 3-6 inches
are possible; however any change in track of this storm and the cold front
could change this forecast considerably, for the better or worse.
It should then be nice Friday through Sunday before the next
storm approaches with a chance of rain or snow next Monday into Tuesday morning.
It will then be nice next Wednesday through Friday with the
next chance of rain or snow being next Saturday and Sunday.
Please join me early in the morning for the latest
information on the impending storms.
