Lots of chances for snow in our future…
Well, the weather will be quite unsettled over the next two weeks with lots of chances for snow…
Today and tomorrow will be nice with some increasing cloudiness late in the day tomorrow. Highs will range from around 40 in Northeastern PA today to the mid 40’s in Central NJ, NYC, and on Long Island, and from the mid to upper 30’s in Northeastern PA tomorrow to the mid 40’s in Central NJ.
Monday snow will develop between about 1 am and 4 am from west to east across our area, except rain or snow developing in Central NJ, NYC, and on Long Island, as a weak disturbance passes through our area. The rain and snow will end between about 7 am and 9 am from west to east. Total snowfall accumulations of a dusting to an inch are possible throughout our area, with slightly higher amounts possible in the higher elevations of Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and in Fairfield County, CT, and with only a dusting possible in Central NJ and on Long Island. The afternoon will then be sunny. Lows will be in the low to mid 30’s inland and the mid to upper 30’s along the coast, HIGHS from the upper 30’s to low 40’s in Northeastern PA and Fairfield County, CT, to the mid 40’s in Central NJ and NYC.
Tuesday clouds will increase in the afternoon with snow developing in the evening in East Central and Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and in Fairfield County, CT, with rain or snow developing in Central and Northeastern NJ, NYC, and on Long Island, as a bit stronger storm system approaches our area from the southwest. The snow could change to rain in all areas overnight, but that is still uncertain. Lows will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s, with highs from the mid to upper 30’s in Northeastern PA and Orange County, NY, to the low to mid 40’s in Central NJ.
Wednesday, rain and snow will end in the morning, with some snowfall accumulation possible, especially in East Central and Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and in Northern Fairfield County, CT. There will then be a chance of a rain or snow shower in the afternoon and at night. Lows will be in the 30’s inland and the low to mid 40’s along the coast. Highs will be from the mid to upper 30’s in Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State and Fairfield County, CT, to the mid to upper 40’s in Central NJ.
Thursday, we will have a chance of rain as a strong cold front approaches our area. Highs will range from the low 40’s in Northeastern PA to the low to mid 50’s in East Central NJ, NYC, and on Long Island.
Friday and next Saturday then look nice, but cold, with highs ranging from the low to mid 30’s in Northeastern PA to the low 40’s in NYC and on Long Island Friday and in the low to mid 30’s next Saturday.
Next Sunday there will be increasing cloudiness with a chance of snow developing in the evening as a storm system approaches from the west. Highs will be in the 30’s.
Next Monday we will have a chance of snow ending in the morning, then clearing. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.
Next Tuesday through Thursday then look nice with highs ranging from the mid 30’s to mid 40’s next Tuesday, then dropping to mainly the 30’s next Wednesday and Thursday.
Next Friday there will be increasing cloudiness with a chance of rain or snow developing as a storm system approaches from the Southeastern United States. Highs will be in the 30’s to low 40’s.
