Very unsettled over the next two weeks…
It will be very unsettled over the next two weeks as one disturbance after the other passes through our area.
The first disturbance will pass through our area tomorrow morning, then another one Tuesday afternoon into early Wednesday morning. Both disturbances will bring areas of East Central and Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and Fairfield County, CT, some snow, and a bit of snow could even make it into Central and Northeastern NJ, NYC, and onto Long Island.
Accumulations should be light Monday morning and Tuesday night, with the highest accumulations in the higher elevations of Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, and into Orange County, NY, where mainly 1-2 inches of accumulation will be possible, with a dusting to an inch in the lower elevations. Areas of East Central PA, Central and Northeastern NJ may get a dusting to an inch at most, with NYC and Long Island, likely to get very little, if any, accumulation. Higher elevations of Northeastern PA could possibly get as much 3 inches of snowfall accumulation Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning.
Thursday, another disturbance will pass through our area as a cold front approaches. This will bring the same areas more chances for rain or snow, although this time there will be very little, if any, snowfall accumulation.
Friday and Saturday will then be variably cloudy with a chance of a flurry both days. It will also be quite windy Friday behind the cold front. Temperatures will also be much colder with highs mainly in the 30’s Friday and only in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s Saturday. Lows will drop as low as the mid to upper teens in Northeastern PA Saturday morning.
Next Sunday we will have increasing cloudiness with a chance of rain or snow developing at night. Highs will be in the 30’s.
Next Monday we will have a chance of rain or snow ending in the morning, followed by clearing and highs in the 40’s.
Next Wednesday and Thursday then look nice with highs mainly in the 30’s.
Next Friday we will have increasing cloudiness with a chance of rain or snow developing and continuing into next Saturday morning. Highs will be in the 30’s to low 40’s.
