TODAY – variably cloudy, highs from the upper 20’s to low 30’s in Northeastern PA to the low 40’s along the coast, in NYC, and on Long Island

TOMORROW – variably cloudy, chance of a snow shower, especially along the coast, a coating of accumulation is possible along the coast, in NYC, and on Long Island, becoming windy, lows from the low to mid teens in Northeastern PA to the mid 20’s along the coast, highs from the mid to upper teens in Northeastern PA to the mid 20’s in Central NJ and on Long Island

FRIDAY – mostly sunny, then increasing cloudiness late in the day, lows from the low to mid single digits in Northeastern PA to the mid teens in Central NJ, highs from the upper teens to low 20’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 20’s in Central NJ

SATURDAY – snow developing between about midnight and 3 am from west to east across the Allentown and New York City Metropolitan areas, becoming heavy at times between about 4 am and 7 am from west to east, then changing to rain in Central NJ about 8 am, NYC and Long Island around 9 am, and to freezing rain and sleet and then rain in East Central PA around 9-10 am, in Northern NJ between about 9-10 am, and in Southeastern NY State and Fairfield County, CT, around 10-11 am, but some freezing rain could hold on into the afternoon in the higher elevations of Northeastern PA, total possible snowfall accumulations prior to the changeover:  a coating to an inch or two in Central and Southern NJ (basically from Mercer and Middlesex County, southward, with the higher amounts more likely in Mercer and Middlesex Counties), in NYC, and on Long Island, and 2-5 inches in East Central and Northeastern PA, Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State and in Fairfield County, CT, lows from the mid to upper teens in Northeastern PA to the upper 20’s to low 30’s along the coast, highs rising through the day, reaching from the mid 40’s late at night in Northeastern PA to the mid to upper 50’s in Central NJ

SUNDAY – rain in the morning, then variably cloudy with a slight chance of snow developing at night, early morning pre-dawn highs from the mid 40’s in Northeastern PA to the upper 50’s to low 60’s in Central NJ, falling through the day to the 30’s by evening in most locations

MONDAY – variably cloudy, slight chance of snow ending in the morning, lows from the mid single digits in Northeastern PA to the low 20’s on Long Island, highs in the 20’s

TUESDAY – mostly sunny, lows from the mid single digits in Northeastern PA to the low 20’s on Long Island, highs in the mid 20’s to low 30’s

NEXT WEDNESDAY – mostly sunny, lows in the teens inland and the low to mid 20’s along the coast and on Long Island, highs in the 30’s

NEXT THURSDAY – chance of rain or snow, lows in the 30’s, highs in the 40’s

NEXT FRIDAY – mostly sunny, lows in the 30’s, highs in the 40’s

CHRISTMAS EVE – mostly sunny, lows in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s, highs in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s
