The snowfall amounts are very light throughout most of our area this morning as the heaviest of the precipitation passed through Central NJ, where it was just a bit too warm for snow. The rest of the day will be variably cloudy with a chance of rain or snow showers. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.
Christmas Day through Thursday will then be variably cloudy with highs in the 30’s Christmas Day, the upper 30’s to low 40’s Wednesday, and the mid 30’s to low 40’s Thursday.
Friday a strong storm system will pass through our area. The center of the storm will pass well north of our area, through Southern Canada. This will allow warm air to surge northward into our area Friday, causing highs to reach from the upper 40’s to low 50’s in Northeastern PA to the mid to upper 50’s in Central NJ.
Saturday will then be variably cloudy with highs in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s.
Sunday will be variably cloudy with a chance of rain or snow showers as a disturbance will pass to our south. Highs will be in the 30’s to low 40’s.
New Year’s Eve a storm system will approach our area. This will cause clouds to increase with a chance of rain, freezing rain, sleet, or snow developing at night, depending on the track of the storm. Highs will be in the 30’s.
New Year’s Day there will be a chance of rain, freezing rain, sleet, or snow, possibly heavy at times, depending on the track of the storm, ending in the morning,. Then it will be variably cloudy with a chance of a rain or snow shower. Highs will be in the 30’s.
Next Wednesday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a rain or snow shower in the morning, followed by clearing. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.
Next Thursday there will be a chance of rain or snow as a storm system approaches our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.
Next Friday there will be a chance of rain or snow ending in the morning. Highs will be in the 30’s.
Next Saturday will be variably cloudy with a chance of rain or snow showers. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.
Next Sunday is then looking nice with highs in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.
