TODAY – light snow ending early this morning, then clearing, highs in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s

TOMORROW – increasing cloudiness in the morning, snow developing between about 3 pm in the Allentown and Scranton, PA areas and 8 pm on Eastern Long island, changing to sleet, freezing rain, and then rain in the evening in Central NJ, NYC, and on Long Island, and at night in East Central PA, most of Northern NJ, Rockland and Westchester Counties in NY, and in Southern Fairfield County, CT, the precipitation will be heavy at times, lows in the 20’s, with some low 30’s possible along the NJ Coast, highs in the 30’s, with some low 40’s along the NJ Coast

SUNDAY – a mixture of snow, sleet, freezing rain, and possibly rain in Northeastern PA, rain or freezing rain and sleet possible in East Central PA, Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and in Fairfield County, CT, and rain in Central NJ, NYC, and on Long Island, the precipitation will be heavy at times early in the morning, ending in the late morning and afternoon from west to east across our area, possibly changing back to a bit of snow, sleet, and freezing rain before ending through our area, there could be some flooding in the areas that receive all rain, with 1.5-2.5 inches of rain likely in those locations, it will also be windy with gusts of 30-50 mph possible, lows ranging from the mid 20’s to low 30’s in Northeastern PA to the mid to upper 40’s in East Central NJ, highs in the morning in the low to mid 30’s in Northeastern PA, far Northwestern NJ, Orange and Putnam Counties in NY and in Northern Fairfield County, CT, the mid 30’s in East Central PA, the rest of Northwestern NJ, Rockland and Northern Westchester County in NY, and Southern Fairfield County, CT, the mid to upper 30’s in Northern Hunterdon, Northern Somerset, Northeastern NJ, and Southern Westchester County, NY, the 40’s in Southern Hunterdon, Southern Somerset, Northern Middlesex, and New York City, the low 50’s on Long Island, and the low to mid 50’s in Central NJ

Trace to an inch:  Burlington and Monmouth counties in NJ southward

1-2 inches possible:  Mercer and Middlesex Counties in NJ, Richmond, Kings, Southern Queens, Southern Nassau, Suffolk Counties in NY

1-3 inches possible:  New York, Northern Queens, Northern Nassau Counties in NY  

2-4 inches possible:  Southern Hunterdon, Somerset, Union, Hudson, Southeastern Essex Counties in NJ, Bronx County in NY

3-5 inches possible:  Southern Lehigh and Southern Northampton Counties in PA, Northern Hunterdon, Southern Morris, Northwestern Essex, Southeastern Passaic, and Southeastern Bergen Counties in NJ, Southern Westchester County in NY, and Southern Fairfield County, CT

4-7 inches possible:  Northern Lehigh and Northern Northampton Counties in PA, Warren, Southern Sussex, Northern Morris, Northwestern Passaic, and Northwestern Bergen Counties in NJ, Rockland, Northern Westchester, and Putnam Counties in NY, and Northern Fairfield County, CT

6-10 inches possible:  Southern Luzerne, Carbon, Monroe, and Southeastern Pike Counties in PA, Northern Sussex County, NJ, and Orange County, NY

9-15 inches possible:  Northern Luzerne, Wyoming, Lackawanna, Susquehanna, Wayne, and Northwestern Pike County in PA

Total possible ice accumulation:

Trace to a tenth of an inch possible:  East Central PA, Central and Northeastern NJ, NYC, Long Island

Tenth to a half of an inch possible:  Rockland, Westchester, and Putnam Counties in NY and Fairfield County, CT

Quarter of an inch to one inch possible:  Southern portions of Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Orange County, NY

MONDAY – variably cloudy, chance of a snow shower or flurry in the morning, lows from the mid single digits below zero to the mid single digits above zero, highs ranging from the mid teens to mid 20’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 30’s in Central NJ

TUESDAY – mostly sunny, lows ranging from the mid single digits below zero the upper single digits zero, highs in the single digits to low teens, with some mid teens along the NJ Coast

WEDNESDAY – chance of rain or showers during the day, then rain or snow at night, lows in the 20’s to low 30’s, highs in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s

THURSDAY – chance of rain or snow, lows in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s, highs in the 30’s to low 40’s
