Odds Increasing for Accumulating and Possibly Significant Snow in the Allentown and NYC Metro Areas this Weekend...

Odds are increasing for an accumulating and possibly significant snowfall in the Allentown, Pennsylvania and New York City Metropolitan Areas. Based on the latest data coming in this afternoon it is now appearing as if the test version of the American model may have been onto something with the more northerly track, as the European model has also shifted further north. I am posting below the latest run of the test version of the American medium-range model. Please understand that I am not forecasting these snowfall amounts, but the data is trending in this general direction. The European Center for Medium Range Forecasting does not permit posting of their maps, so I am unable to post that map, but again it is trending in the direction of the test medium-range American model.

Below is the latest test version of the medium-range American model that they are hoping to replace the current medium-range american with later this year. Image courtesy tropicaltidbits.com. Click on the image to enlarge.
