Sunday, November 17th, 2019 - Evening Weather Discussion

Rain and then accumulating snow likely in much of our area Tuesday…

Tomorrow will be variably cloudy with highs in the mid 50’s to low 60’s.

Tuesday, a cold front will pass through our area, with rain developing ahead of the front in the morning from west to east, gradually mixing with and then changing to snow from the early morning in Northeastern PA, to mid-morning in Northwestern NJ and Orange County, NY, to late morning elsewhere. Highs will occur early in the morning, in the pre-dawn hours with highs in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s, dropping to the mid 20’s to low 30’s by morning in Northeastern PA, to the low to mid 30’s by mid- morning in East Central PA, Northwestern NJ, and Orange County, NY, to the low to mid 30’s by midday in Northeastern NJ and the rest of Southeastern NY State and Fairfield County, CT, and to the mid 30’s by midday or early afternoon in Central NJ, NYC and Western Long Island, and finally to the mid 30’s by mid-afternoon on Eastern Long Island. It will also become windy, with gusts of 20-40 mph possible.

Total possible snowfall accumulations:

Coating to an inch:  Southeastern and East Central PA, Southern, Central and Northeastern NJ, NYC, Long Island

Half an inch to an inch and a half:  Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and Fairfield County, CT

One to two and a half inches:  Northeastern PA

Wednesday will then be variably cloudy, and it will be windy in the morning, with gusts of 20-40 mph possible. Highs will be in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s.

Thursday will be variably cloudy with highs in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.

Friday and Saturday will then be variably cloudy, with just a chance of a shower along the coast or on Long Island Friday. Highs will be in the 40’s Friday and the 30’s Saturday.

Next Sunday, November 17th, through next Tuesday, November 19th, there will be a chance of rain as a storm may form along the Middle Atlantic Coast. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s next Sunday and the mid 40’s to low 50’s next Monday and Tuesday.

Next Wednesday, November 20th, and next Thursday, November 21st, are then looking variably cloudy with highs in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s.

Next Friday, November 22nd there will be a chance of a shower as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to low 50’s.

Next Saturday, November 23rd, is then looking variably cloudy with highs in the mid 40’s to low 50’s.
